Getting "Redi" for babies

We have been so busy preparing for the babies lately as we know the time they will arrive is approaching. Jason has spent the last week and a half packing up his old office :( , taking all the furniture out of the old guest room and painting it blue for his new office. You can see below how happy he is about it. This weekend, he is moving into the freshly painted new smaller office and the process begins again for painting the babies' room. Then I will finally get to put away all the wonderful things we have been given for the babies. Jason is especially excited to put together the crib that Grandma and Grandpa Redi have so generously given us! I cannot wait to see it all together. Jason read in one of his "New Father" books that women get an incredible urge to "nest" when babies are expected so he gave me a deadline that he would have the rooms completed...May 1st. He has since stuck to his word (although I never actually held him to it) and I think he has caught the nesting urge just as much as I have!

At this point, the ultrasound technicians think that Baby A is definitely a girl but the jury is still out on Baby B. We are excited to meet them whatever their genders and hope they take their time before presenting themselves. Our official due date is August 14, but the doctors say that they will likely come sometime in July.

First there were two....

It is hard to believe that Jason and I have been married for almost three years next month (May 4). We have accomplished quite a lot in that time from several home renovations to achieving pregnancy! We are so thrilled to be expecting our twins this summer and are very busy preparing for the big event. Jason is working like crazy these days, as he often does but I am so proud to say that he was promoted this past year to Principal Scientist within his company, a feat not so easily achieved by someone so young. I am working temporarily at Isis Maternity www.isismaternity.com where I am learning all sorts of things about babies and what to do with them. Most importantly, I have great people I can look to for guidance as this is a very unique organization. Since it is getting harder for me to be as mobile as I have been, I will stop working at the end of April. There is plenty to do to get ready for our little ones!
